International and national guests reached to meet gold medalist Meenakshi Hooda.

The celebrations of the achievement of gold medalist Meenakshi Hooda, who made the nation proud by hoisting India’s flag at the recently concluded World Boxing Cup in the country, are still continuing. Several renowned personalities and officials from the boxing world visited Meenakshi at her residence in Rohtak to congratulate her on her historic victory and also visited Shaheed Batun Singh Stadium. On this occasion, not only was Meenakshi felicitated, but she was also assured of all possible support in the future.
The delegation that arrived at Meenakshi Hooda’s Rohtak residence included many senior officials at international and national levels. Prominent among them were former World Boxing President Boris van der Borst, Director of the No Girls–No Glory Foundation, Ingeborg, and Executive Director of the Boxing Federation of India, Arun Malik. All the guests met Meenakshi and praised her hard work and dedication. As a mark of honor, the guests also presented her with a high-quality boxing kit.
It is worth mentioning that Meenakshi Hooda surprised everyone with her outstanding performance in the World Boxing Cup 2025 in the 48 kg weight category. In the final bout, she faced Uzbekistan’s strong boxer Fozilova Farzona. Meenakshi won the match in a one-sided manner by 5–0, clinching the gold medal. This victory is being regarded as a significant achievement for the country.
During the meeting, former World Boxing President Boris van der Borst and other officials said that Meenakshi Hooda is a true inspiration for Indian boxers, especially young girls. They stated that when daughters like Meenakshi recognize their talent, move forward, and achieve success, they not only achieve personal milestones but also inspire many other girls to take flight toward their dreams.
The Director of the No Girls–No Glory Foundation, Ingeborg, along with her two daughters, Victoria and Teddy Rocky, saluted Meenakshi’s spirit and said that her success proves that with the right platform and hard work, anything can be achieved. They said that today, daughters are excelling not only in education but also in sports, which is proof of their talent, determination, and hard work. All the officials wished Meenakshi a bright future and assured her that they would continue to encourage and support her at every step of her journey.

It may be noted that two days ago, Meenakshi was also honored by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. While this success is the result of Meenakshi’s own hard work, an equal contribution has been made by her coach, Vijay Hooda. Under the leadership of Coach Vijay Hooda, Meenakshi was able to refine her sporting talent in an excellent manner and today she is bringing pride to the nation and her family on national and international platforms.
